February - Windward Industries Renovations

Portland Aluminium volunteers gained valuable insight into Windward Industry Operations when the PA Administration team, alongside Windward staff and clients, cleaned and painted the Windward workshop, laundry and office.

The volunteers also improved the overall tidiness by adding simple storage solutions such as shelves, pin boards and whiteboards.

Windward Industries offers a recycling and cleaning service for Portland Aluminium
and other local companies, operating onsite at Portland Aluminium under the
auspice of Kyeema Support Services.

Windward Manager, Mr Jo Bruckner, said Windward provides employment for people with a disability.

“With one in five people in Australia having a disability, it is important that vocational opportunities are available for people with a disability,” said Mr Bruckner.
