Karingal provides support and case management with Community Aged Care Packages, designed to assist people who would like to stay in their own homes and need some assistance to do so.
Funded by the Department of Health and Ageing, fees are based on individual income and will not exceed 17.5% of the Aged Pension.
The service is designed to suit the needs of each person and is coordinated by by a Registered Nurse and supported by caring staff who visit and assist regularly. Typical services include:
· Assistance with personal care – showering, dressing etc.
· Cleaning and light housework
· Gardening if needed for safety reasons
· Outings and shopping
· Day respite
· Transport
· 24 hour on call service
· Home maintenance if needed for safety reasons
