Karingal is a not-for-profit organisation that started in Geelong in 1952 when a group of Geelong parents formed a play group for their children, each with a disability.
Over the years Karingal has grown its services and introduced new initiatives but its mission and vision have remained the same: To be the best provider of opportunities for people with disabilities and to provide quality services that improve the lives of individuals.
Today Karingal manages residential, respite, home-based and day programs for people with disabilities and their families and operates an employment services division, including supported, disability and open employment services in Geelong, Melbourne and regional Victoria.
