Catering a piece of cake for Kommercial cafe

04 May 2009

Refusing to put all its eggs in one basket, Karingal’s Kommercial café has branched into catering and taken its delicious fare on the road.

Two years after opening its doors at Alcoa, Point Henry, the successful Kommercial Café now provides lunches and snacks for all Geelong-based, Karingal events and meetings and is planning to market to other community organisations and businesses in the near future.

Kommercial Operations Manager, Michelle Edwards, said orders were now being placing on a daily basis and it was likely the catering business would continue to grow and become busier.

“We are very optimistic it (Kommercial catering) will create more hospitality jobs in the future,’’ she said.

Kommercial was able to provide lunch boxes, platters of hot and/or cold food, sandwiches, fruit platters and delicious cakes, slices and treats for morning and afternoon teas, Michelle said. For catering details please visit www.kommercial.org.au.
