Get ready to celebrate festa of cultural diversity
12 February 2010
It’s MatchWorks Pako Festa time again with this year’s event sure to be yet another food and cultural extravaganza.
The event is the largest free celebration of cultural diversity in Australia.
For nearly 30 years the Pako Festa has attracted scores of people from across the community including professional performers, community groups, schools, businesses, street traders and artists from all walks of life.
Coming together in harmony, up to 100,000 people meet to enjoy a smorgasbord of cultural food, folk dancing, the famous Pako Parade, workshops, art exhibitions, films, craft displays, free activities for children and an amazing day of non-stop entertainment.
MatchWorks, a division of Karingal, is proud to once again be a major sponsor of the free event.
The Karingal family is again looking forward to participating in the parade, giving away some great MatchWorks freebies and balloons.
The MatchWorks Pako Festa will be on February 27, 2010 from 9am till 8pm. Visit http://www.pakofesta.com.au/ for more information.
MatchWorks is also a proud sponsor of the Brimbank and Whittlesea festivals, both to be held in March.
