March brings Karnivale and ART to life

12 February 2010

All the fun and fanfare of the Karingal Karnivale is on again in March following a highly successful inaugural even last year.

Held in the beautiful grounds of Karingal’s head office on the Barwon River, KarnivART, an exhibition and art show of works by artists with disabilities, will also be held.

The day will feature live performances and music, street theatre, food and market stalls, kids’ rides, a circus school and even a guest appearance by Elvis!

KarnivART is open to artists with a disability over the age of 18 who live in the Geelong, Barwon South West, and Southern Metropolitan Regions of Victoria.

All works entered must be available for sale.

One piece will be selected by a judging panel to receive the KarnivART Prize - worth $1000.

Karingal Karnivale and the KarnivART exhibition will be held on March 28 between 11am and 4pm.

For more information including the art exhibition entry form please contact Justine Bily on 5249 8981 or email karnivart@karingal.org.au .
