MatchWorks wins sites across Victoria
04 May 2009
MatchWorks will grow by nearly half its current size over the next few months, after winning tenders for new sites in Bendigo, Warrnambool, Melton, Epping and Preston.
With 13 existing sites across Geelong, western Melbourne and Bacchus Marsh, MatchWorks will grow to 18 sites from July 1, this year.
It will also provide services on demand to people looking for work in the Golden Plains shire. The office in Bannockburn will be open on a part-time basis.
About 50 new MatchWorks staff will be employed across Victoria over the next two months.
Karingal Chief Executive Officer, Daryl Starkey, said the news MatchWorks had won five new sites and kept all existing business in the Federal Government’s competitive employment services tender was “absolutely fantastic’’.
“This is a fabulous result and represents quite a big increase in the overall business share, so like in past contracts, MatchWorks will be growing quite significantly,’’ he said. “This growth will provide a sound financial base for Karingal in the future.”
