Volunteers thanked for dedication

Around 100 hard-working Karingal volunteers and their families enjoyed getting together in May for the annual Karingal Volunteer Presentation event at the Ford Discovery Centre.
Karingal Chief Executive Officer Daryl Starkey thanked all those who had given their time over the past year to work with people with disabilities, mental illness and the frail aged.
Andrew Jones, who participates in a range of day activities at Karingal and loves volunteering at the Ford Discovery Centre, smiled broadly as he talked about how volunteering enriches his life.
Karingal volunteers support Karingal clients in many areas including community programs, employment and mental health services.
Volunteers were presented with certificates and gifts sponsored by MatchWorks.
